On Monday the Team were on C1 & C3, with Calles Ibiscum, Alcala La Real, Azaleas, and the Pig Farm road being cleaned, weeded,and sprayed.
Wednesday found 9 Volunteers out, Cath, Badr, Charles, Graham, Johns 1&2, Mark, Paddy and Pete did extensive weeding, returned surplus pallets, and collected and laid membrane in front of the new flower bed, ready for gravel to be laid.
Cath and Paddy did the bucket, collecting €244-32 from the kind residents who donated.

Our AGM will take place at the Golf Club, on Wednesday 17th May at 3 pm.
There will be elections for all Committee posts, so if anyone wants to put themself, or another person forward, please let me know by 14th May.
There will be complimentary tea, coffee, or soft drinks, and a chance to question what we have done over the past year,and make suggestions for things that you feel we should be doing over the coming year.

On Monday, the Maintenance team cleaned, sprayed and weeded Calle Retama (Pig Farm Road) from Calle Castille San Juan and continued along Calle Ibiscum and Calle Alcaudete. They also weeded and sprayed the Petanca Court. Next week the Team will be working on Tuesday morning instead of the usual Monday.
Wednesday saw 10 Volunteers out; Badr, Graham, Mark, Ken, Pete John2, Simon, Charles, Paddy and John 4. Graham, Mark and Pete completed laying and pointing the capping stones on the approach wall to the new raised bed, while Simon, Charles, Badr and John 2 weeded extensively. One of the Memorial raised beds was also weeded and had new plants added. Plants donated by residents were planted and watered in.
Paddy and John 4 were on the bucket, raising 277.04 Euros, many thanks to all those who donated.

Wednesday saw 7 Volunteers; Paddy, Ann, Ken, Charles, Pete, Badr and John 2. Work continued behind the Windmill with further donated plants put in place, weeding the area and watering the existing plants.
The new Raised Bed was watered and surroundings weeded, we sadly have to report the theft of two bedding plants and one shrub…Words fail why people do this! Two more large yuccas were planted in the bedding area on Calle Ibiscum.

Monday saw the Maintenance Team continue their weeding, cleaning and spraying programme to complete the remainder of C2. Mark joined the Team for the morning and along with John made a number of repairs to potholes – including three large ones on Calle Puerto Lumbreas.
On Wednesday, we had 8 volunteers; Graham, Margaret, Mark, Ken (welcome back!), Badr, Pete, John 2 and Paddy.
Graham, Mark, Ken & Pete began construction of a new edging and walkway approach to the new raised bed feature on the corner of the Golf Club Road, while Badr & John 2 removed 4 dead trees from behind the Windmill and replaced them with trees and plants donated by residents.
Margaret and Paddy were on the bucket, raising 201.81 Euros, thank you to all who donated.

On Monday the Team were on C2, with Calles Aralia, Ibiscum, Jodar, Jimena and sections of Calles Frailes and Lopera being cleaned and weeded.
Wednesday found 12 Volunteers out – Cath, Marylyn, Badr, Charles, Dave, Graham, Johns 1&2, Mark, Paddy, Pete and Simon.
The new flower bed on the corner of the Golf Club road, and the dual carriageway, which had been built by Graham and Mark, with help from Pete, was filled with another layer of topsoil.
We then took delivery of 110 plants and shrubs, our biggest ever delivery, and these were planted in the new bed, in front of it, and in the planters on the dual carriageway. A large amount of weeding was done, and 2 motion sensor solar spotlights were attached to the top of the Mercers sign, in an effort to deter the thieving going on.
Today’s bucket was €242-82,thanks to everyone who donated, and to Suzie and Cath for the breakfasts.
On Monday the Team were unable to do anything because of the gale and heavy rain.

The ornamental flower bed surround was completed, weeding was carried out along the Rambla road and the dual carriageway.

On Monday the team were again weeding and cleaning along the Dual Carriageway plus Calle Puerto Lumbreras. Both of our damaged notice boards were replaced and new ones installed.
Wednesday saw seven volunteers out: Graham, Mark, John 2, Badr, Pete, Simon and Charles. A large amount of slate, donated by a resident, was collected, four railway sleepers were delivered to the Brownies garden by the Cultural Centre, another section of the new, large raised bed was completed and extensive weeding was carried out.
Paddy and Margaret looked after the bucket, raising Euros 242.36. Many thanks to all who donated and to Suzie and Margaret for the breakfasts.
On Monday the Team were cleaning and weeding on the dual carriageway from the bottom up to the windmill.
Wednesday found 10 Volunteers out, Cath, Badr, Charles, Dave, Graham, John1, Mark, Paddy, Pete and Simon.
Extensive weeding was carried out, and a start was made on the brickwork for our new garden area.
Plants and rocks were collected, donated by residents.

On Monday the Team cleaned and weeded C7 & C10, with the Calles being cleaned and weeded.
Wednesday saw only 7 Volunteers out, due to sickness and holidays.
Margaret, Badr, Graham, Johns 1&2, Mark and Paddy concreted the wall foundations for our new garden feature, concreted part of the water drainage area, collected slate and yuccas donated by various residents, and planted the yuccas.
Margaret collected an amazing €271-52, thanks to everyone who donated, and to Suzie & Cath for the breakfasts.
