Monday the team were on c 1 and c2 weeding sweeping and cleaning the streets
Wednesday there were nine volunteers out being charles, paul, pete, mark, lorraine, graham, john 2, badr, and we welcomed back christine, we also said goodbye to our project manager ken who has returned to the uk for a while…Again the focus was on watering the many plants that would otherwise die in the summer heat, we also had some sleepers cut ready for a new bed behind the welcome wall .Lorraine and christine rattled the buckets raising 307 euros thanks to all who donated and suzie & margaret for breakfasts..
On Monday the Team were on C5 & C6,with Calles, Retama,,Begijar,,Puerto Lumbreras,,Aralia, and the Monsora estate being cleaned and weeded.
Wednesday saw eight volunteers out johns 1 & 2 pete mark ken, graham lorraine sue as usual at this time of year weed spraying and watering are the main tasks, along with tidying up in general ,lorraine and sue did the bucket raising 459 euros this was boosted by a tremendous donation of 100 euros from tom & nina residents of c2 , thanks to all who donated and to cath & margaret for the breakfasts.
Monday he team were on C10 sweeping and cleaning also clearing up and returning items after the street party. The previous friday Ten polygalas donated by a resident were planted along c/ibiscum and gravel spread aroungd there base as a mulch thanks to tom from C2 for making this possible.
Wednesday saw nine volunteers out being johns 1 & 2 pete, badr graham, sue, charles, paddy & mark, 14 tonnes of gravel were delivered and spread along the verge of the pig farm road, at least another 14 tonnes will be needed to complete this project.
All the planters and newly planted plants were well watered ,roses pruned and donated plants planted , heavy rain saw the morning cut short but still 217 euros were raised on the buckets rattled this week by sue and john 1 thanks to all who donated and to suzie & margaret for breakfasts.
On monday the maintenance team were on c4 and c5, sweeping and weeding
calle begijar, lower bugambilla, baeza, bailen, castlilo san juan and part of retama from Puerto lumbreras to azaleas.
Wednesday saw eight volunteers out being johns 1& 2 pete paul , charles graham, paddy and sue. . Two large pot holes were filled with tarmac on dual carriageway between 10 & 7 and along puerto lumbreros, all the plants and trees were well watered both those in pots and in the ground, roses were pruned geraniums cut back, sue and paddy & john 1 rattled the buckets raising 437.25 euros another fantastic total,
thanks to all who donated and to suzie and margaret for breakfasts.

New plants donated by residents were picked up and planted, all the new and existing plants and planters were well watered, more of the usual rounds of weeding were carried out, sue and paddy plus ade and jo rattled the buckets raising 345.64 euros thanks to all who donated and to john 1 and margaret for breakfasts..
Later on the same day we held the agm which was very well attended
john has stepped down as chairman after six successful years although he will still be involved with the group. Please come along to the street party on the 27th may
to wish him well.

Extensive watering,weeding,and planting of new plants was achieved.
Lorraine,Paddy and John 1 did the buckets,augmented for the last hour by Jo and Ade.A great total of €378-84 was collected,thanks to everyone who donated,and to Suzie and Margaret who provided the breakfasts.
