Meeting with the Mayor and Councillors Wednesday September 21st 2011

Davis opened the meeting by thanking all the volunteers who helped with the ‘clean up’ last Saturday
Then the meeting was thrown open for questions and suggestions
Q. Can we have a car park for disabled drivers by the cultural centre, as it is too far to walk from the car park and the access for emergency services is blocked by parked cars.
A. It will be looked into
Q. When will Sector A be adopted
A. In the first trimester of 2012. The other Sectors will follow one by one, but no time scale given
Q. When will the street lighting be restored on Sector A
A. The electricians have been working on Sector A for the last two weeks, and it is expected that all the streets here will have lights by the end of October. The whole of Camposol is expected to have street lights by Christmas.
Q. Will the residents of Camposol, have to pay anything extra, over and above their IBI payments for services, as they would if it was an entity
A. No. there will be no extra costs involved, but everyone will have to start paying IBI. At the moment there is only about 900 properties paying IBI
Q. What is the progress with Hydrografica about the rambla situation.
A. This is a very complicated procedure, as it has to have the approval of National Government as well as Regional Government, and at the moment the Town Hall are talking to the government in Madrid.
Q. Has a solution been reached regarding the 28 illegal builds on RE3
A. The Council are trying to find a technical solution, but demolition is NOT one of the options.
Q. None of the Villas on D 32 have their escrituras, but this is not connected with the rambla problem.
A. This is legal problem for the whole of D sector and the council are looking into it.
Q. When are we going to get a bus service?
A. The Council are trying to organise a bus service, but at the moment the train is a provisional solution
Q. Are Masa coming back on site, and if so will they be allowed to build again
A. The council have been talking to Masa for three months, and are close to reaching agreement, as it would be in Masa’s interests to return. They have been given the opportunity to collaborate, but if they try to cheat again, they will be taken to court.
They must also rectify all of the problems on Camposol before they are allowed to build again
Q. What is the situation with Aqualia being replaced
A. In the first quarter of 2012 the problems with Aqualia will be fixed
Q. The CRA have compiled a list of residents without water meters, and when the changeover takes place, will be able to notify these members as to what steps they should take. Will this be useful to the council
A. When another company takes over from Aqualia, this information will be appreciated
Q. Santiago Martinez the council architect asked the CRA to identify the derelict and abandoned villas. Is this information still required.
A. David will talk to Sr Martinez
Q. Will the flooding by the bridge be rectified.
A. Masa are dealing with this
Q. If the water company is changed, how will this affect the residents of Sector A who have contracts with Aqualia
A. This will be dealt with by the council
Q. As the residents of D32 have not got their escrituras, how will they know if their properties have been embargoed.
A. Go to the Land Registry in C/ La Via, and ask for a Note Simple
At the next meeting on November 16th, a lawyer will be present to answer in more details the legal questions. If any one has a question could they please notify Tatiana
