Projects starting on Sector ‘C’ now
Most of the visitors will have gone home and the weather cooler so the gardening group will be re-commencing on 21 September at 9am at the old Masa office and they will be working on the central reservation pruning the palms. The group are looking for volunteers to look after the Petanca pitches on C7 and C1 separate to the general working parties, whoever looks after these areas will have a free hand to garden and plant as they want. Sector C has 35 bins which have now been put into concreted areas off the road but they do get very full with garden rubbish. The gardening group offer a service where they will take garden rubbish to the Eco Park for a small fee. If you would like to take advantage of this service or would like a large builders bag to put the rubbish in please contact Bernard Holland.
Letter from the Chairman
Attached to this newsletter is a separate letter from Bernard Holland asking for your help and co-operation in a project to benefit the Sector by employing a local person to carry out the maintenance of the whole of Sector C. Please take some time to read and consider the proposal and complete the form because the volunteers are getting fewer and fewer with the ones we have getting older and the funds are very low. There is a serious worry that the group will fold if we don’t move forward so please support it. If you have any questions about the proposal please contact Bernard Holland.
Camposol’s New Mayor
As I am sure you are aware Camposol now has an honorary Mayoress, Kelly Ensor and you can email her on camposol@crmservises.es. There is now a council office open 9.30 till 2pm 5 days a week Mon to Friday in the new community centre on Sector ‘B’ and the clerk speaks several languages. They have requested residents go in to make complaints about your area including lack of lights, pavements and roads not replaced after repair work and any other complaints you may have. Their e-mail address is oficinacamposol@mazarron.es. You can also make an appointment to speak to Camposol’s council representative Pepe if you have anything you want to discuss with him. Kelly & Pepe are our local representatives to liaise with the council so we must use them so we don’t lose them.
Sector C Website & Facebook Group
Please support the group’s website www.greenfingersgardenandsocialgroup.com there are lots of interesting things on the website and it is updated regularly with events and project news. Please feel free to comment on any posting or submit a posting to Bernard Holland who will put it on to the site. We also have a Facebook Group ‘Camposol
C-Sector Group’ which is very active so please join and participate. Other local Facebook groups that are very active are ‘Items For Sale Murcia’, ‘Preguntas y Mas Murcia’, ‘Whats on Murcia’ and ‘Supporters of Camposol Train and Thursday Market’, take a look we think you will enjoy them.
Thanks
We would like to thank Fuente Building Services for donating 50€ to the group and to Inside Out for sponsoring the website for the next 12 months.
FAST: FAST is the new self help group of Camposol and they can be contacted on 968970626 after calling medical emergency 112. Help them by putting your plot number on the front wall of your house now before you need them, it makes it so much easier for them to find you in case of an emergency.

Green Fingers Gardening and Social Group

Dear residents of C-Sector we need your help.
We have been working on the perimeters clearing the ground and placing plastic membrane and gravel to smarten the area up. The same work has been carried out on the full length of the central reservation, plus pruning the palms to make it safer for drivers. Two Petanque pitches have been built, one at the top of C-1 and the second next to the Monsora houses between C5 and C8.

This area has also benefited from the planting of olive trees and various other plants and grasses. Additionally we have carried out some essential road repairs and work to ensure all the bins are now off the road on to concrete bases.

Unfortunately, our band of volunteers is getting smaller and we are now down to ten stalwarts who are all getting older and we need more willing hands to make the job lighter.

We are proposing a temporary arrangement, until such time as Mazarron Council take responsibility, which will be administered by Green Fingers Gardening and Social Group.

Our proposal is that you can help by paying 5€ per month either by standing order or direct debit or collected by your poligono rep. Although ideally, payment either quarterly, half yearly or yearly would be best.

Example 100 villas @ 5€ per month = 500€.
This would allow the Group to pay a local person who needs work to carry out the maintenance to keep the streets clean; spraying to stop the weeds by the road sides; pruning palms and also keeping the perimeters neat and tidy. It would enable us either to have one person for four days a week, or two for two days a week.

You would register all your details and collection method, anyone paying the full 60€ year would get their money back pro-rata should and when the council take us over. We would also ask your help to contact villa owners who do not reside here permanently to join and contribute to their community.

The time is now for everyone to play their part to make C-Sector the very best on Camposol. The benefits are the increase in your villa should you need to sell, it improves your environment, and has a feel good factor when visitors come to visit.
Thanks for your time in reading this and I hope that you agree with the proposal and will react positively to it yourselves.
We would also be ready for paying for poligono street lights as proposed by the new council.
Please return your slip with details or call in 684 Calle Alcaudete C-1 or return to your poligono rep. :Email:spainvilarosa@gmail.com.

C- Sector on Face book.

Monday, August 29th, 2011

Please check out the new Face book group CAMPOSOL C-SECTOR GROUP.
Everyone is welcome to join this new way of finding out information and sharing information.
For example if you have any complaints about Camposol and C-Sector you can call into the new social centre and report it direct to a member of the council. If you have any complaints do call in and tell them as if you do not they will think everything is fine.
Calling in and speaking face to face is always the best approach and the lady speaks English.
The other way is to email the complaint but please do include your name and villa plot number.

The email address for the council office at the social centre is oficinacamposol@mazarron.es.
Tatiana is the contact.

CRA Meeting with the Mayoress. Aug 13th.

Meeting with the Mayoress
by CHAIRMAN » Sat Aug 13, 2011 5:47 am

Friday 12th August 2011-08-13

I had a meeting with Kelly our Mayoress this morning.

Kelly apologised for not replying to my emails. I asked her if she was swamped. She readily admitted she was with hundreds of emails every week.
One of her problems is wading through them all and detailing the complaints/suggestions which she is doing religiously. Most were duplicates of emails from others and a lot should be directed to the Councillors office in the new Social Centre.

The new office is open in the Social Centre and residents must use it to report problems, seek advice and help. That should be the first port of call for all issues. The council have provided the service with English and German speakers. If everyone bombards Kelly with everything and doesn’t use the service provided by the council it could result in the need for the service being reviewed.
Brings up that old phrase again, “use it or loose it”.

She has a “big meeting” next month with the council at which most if not all of our concerns would be addressed. She was confident that the council would address all our problems including the “legal paperwork bit” although she knew that it would be a long term plan to resolve it.

She gave me a copy of the bus timetable. Jackie is looking at ways we can put it on the site.

Water, sewage, street cleaning and rubbish collection was being given to a new company to operate and Aqualia services were being dispensed with.

Street lighting on the main roads will also be sorted promptly leaving the poligono lights still to sort out.

Estimates for the completion of Camposol are between 16 and 20 million € and council is looking at ways to achieve it.

I explained the advantages to all concerned of a close liaison with the CRA and the ongoing support we can offer. I told her about the water meter exercise and that there would be other ways in which we could help.

She admitted she has communication problems with Pepe and fully understood our frustration with the water leak reporting procedure. The new water company would resolve all that.

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

We know have a weekly market every Thursday morning on the A Sector car park.

The market started last week and i am told it was very big and very good.

The new council seem to be getting things done at last but it would be nice to get some lights on.
