The group have now got a new sponsor for their very popular website www.greenfingersgardenandsocialgroup.com. Mark Johnson of Inside Out is sponsoring the website for 12 months and has now got advertising boards on the traffic island by the Sensol Hotel and is looking at other joint projects with ‘C’Sector where the information sign is by the Montessori houses. The group is encouraging local businesses to advertise on their traffic islands ring Bernard Holland on 626513842, e-mail spainvilarosa@gmail.com to discuss a price and they have advertising banners on their website which are available for 50€ per annum. The group have already had one new sponsor FUENTE BUILDING SERVICES who have purchased a banner on the web site for 12 months and the group will give advertisers a mention by dropping flyers at all their functions and also advertise them on their regular Newsletters.
The group put on a fundraising event on Friday 22 July at Camposol Golf Club with Full Circle’ providing some excellent music which was enjoyed by over 100 local residents. The evening had a raffle and an auction and the evening raised much needed funds for the group of over 800€. There is a planned Street Party Barbecue in September date to be arranged so look out for posters advertising the event.
The group is currently on their summer break and work will recommence in September, the group have transformed the look of Sector C with 2 Petanca courts now in operation and many of the road side verges gravelled and bins now off the road in concreted areas. The group have recently gravelled the central reservation on the main road through sector C and they regularly keep the trees pruned on the reservation making it easier for drivers to see.

Residents and visitors are very pleased how good Sector ‘C’ is looking and the group want to improve it further by maintaining the work they have already done and starting new projects so look out for the working parties and stop and give them a few words of encouragement or even better give a donation to help the group improve Sector ‘C’ making it a better place to live.
