As an aid, this is the purposed route of the train service on Camposol:

I have just seen the train, someone got of at the commercial centre then it went down the duel carriageway towards C &.D.

The train is great looking and a fantastic idea for Camposol.

I think you can board at any point just put your hand out to signal the driver and when you want to get of the driver will stop at any point.

Please let me know if you use the train and any useful information we can pass on to residents.

I am waiting for our computer tec adviser to put on a advertising banner but in the mean time if you are looking for a local builder who is legally registered in Spain please give them a call and get a quote they will give a discount to Green Fingers C- Sector residents.

Mayoress of Saladillo

Kelly Ensor of Nicky G Translation Services has been appointed as Mayoress for Saladillo which includes Camposol.

Her unpaid honoury position provides a contact point for feeding ideas to improve Camposol back to the town hall. She has already been instrumental in getting the road junction sorted out and the pending train service up and running.

Individuals are welcome to send ideas for improving Camposol to her at camposol@crmservices.es

It is hoped to open the office in the Social Centre by 25th July.
Pepe will be the Councillor in charge of this operation which will be manned by English and German translators. Individual problems can be taken to him to resolve.

The Residents Associations will meet with David Fernandez to resolve major issues.

In her capacity of Mayoress, Bob has asked Kelly to intervene on the water/sewage reporting procedure. Reports via Pepe are not working properly at present and Kelly has undertaken to raise the issue with the mayor.

The group have now got a new sponsor for their very popular website www.greenfingersgardenandsocialgroup.com. Mark Johnson of Inside Out is sponsoring the website for 12 months and has now got advertising boards on the traffic island by the Sensol Hotel and is looking at other joint projects with ‘C’Sector where the information sign is by the Montessori houses. The group is encouraging local businesses to advertise on their traffic islands ring Bernard Holland on 626513842, e-mail spainvilarosa@gmail.com to discuss a price and they have advertising banners on their website which are available for 50€ per annum. The group have already had one new sponsor FUENTE BUILDING SERVICES who have purchased a banner on the web site for 12 months and the group will give advertisers a mention by dropping flyers at all their functions and also advertise them on their regular Newsletters.

The group put on a fundraising event on Friday 22 July at Camposol Golf Club with Full Circle’ providing some excellent music which was enjoyed by over 100 local residents. The evening had a raffle and an auction and the evening raised much needed funds for the group of over 800€. There is a planned Street Party Barbecue in September date to be arranged so look out for posters advertising the event.

The group is currently on their summer break and work will recommence in September, the group have transformed the look of Sector C with 2 Petanca courts now in operation and many of the road side verges gravelled and bins now off the road in concreted areas. The group have recently gravelled the central reservation on the main road through sector C and they regularly keep the trees pruned on the reservation making it easier for drivers to see.

The group do need more volunteers for a variety of roles from helping with the manual work around the sector to selling tickets for the events or shaking buckets to collect money from passing motorists to raise much needed funds and if you think you may be able to help please contact Bernard who will be very pleased to hear from you. Residents and visitors are very pleased how good Sector ‘C’ is looking and the group want to improve it further by maintaining the work they have already done and starting new projects so look out for the working parties and stop and give them a few words of encouragement or even better give a donation to help the group improve Sector ‘C’ making it a better place to live.

I am pleased to report the fund raising evening went down well with everyone enjoying them selves.

The committee for selling tickets Lesley/John/Ros  and arranging the evening also the raffle ticket sellers door men Dave & John, Sheena for wrapping the prizes, Ros for arranging the band, residents who donated some of the raffle prizes.

Most importantly you the residents for taking the time to attend and thank you to the residents who bought tickets just to support the group.

Total Expenses 210€.

Profit 874€

Total number of guests attending 105 adults.

I have been informed we are about to have a tourist train running round Camposol.

The train should be arriving on Monday, If the train arrives it will only stay on Camposol if we use it so lets get behind this initiative and use it to get your shopping form the commercial center.

Lets hope it runs late so the people who want to drink don’t have to drive.

This could be great for everyone.

Be aware 3 men are on C -Sector claiming to be gas engineers, they are in a red Berlingo and do not like taking no for an answer.

Please remember you do have to let anyone into your property, if the gas company have not made an appointment tell them no thank you.

You have been warned we think the are scamming for money on out of date gas tubes.

You can check the date on your own gas tube and change if out of date.
