I am sorry to report that some low life has stolen one of the new Olive trees from the road opposite the Masa Office.

If you know anything about it please let me know.

Please keep your eyes open for anyone looking suspicious or hanging around I think they may be back for more.

Please chalange anyone who is parked up near the olive trees or call the police.

The gardening groups go to a lot of time and effort to make Camposol look good for the benefit of everyone and we spend your money to buy trees and everything else.

Please help stop thieves from taking your trees.

Dear Friends

I have posted the following on the D site and the CRA site and request that you pass the info to your volunteers.
I realise that A Sector have declined the offer of these trees and  the division of them will need to be decided by ourselves on B C and D.
I have received replies from B and C groups and it would appear that a fair division would be 400 to B, 200 to C and 400 to D.
What do you think.?

There will be representation from the D Committee.

Dear Volunteers,
I have just spoken with Jackie Galvez who informed me that the Company/Organisation that is donating 1000 trees to Camposol (through the Council) wish to hold a Planting Ceremony on

Wednesday 30th Mar @ 1130 – 1200 hrs.
Jackie has requested that as many of our workers/volunteers attend the ceremony and that attendance is NOT restricted just to Committee members.
The location is yet to be decided (I should know by  Friday 25th) but they will erect a Marquee and take pictures etc for publication/publicity.

This Thursday 9am oppersit Masa office we are planting and laying a Petanca area also spraying the weeds.

We now have several sprayers available to loan to you to treat your poligno,to prevent the weeds growing.

The more people we have volunteering the more work we can do.

Sorry for the late report on the February accounts I have been in the uk for the last 3 weeks a very big thank you to Norma for looking after everything with accounts and ordering materials plus breakfasts.

Thanks also to Adrian and the rest of the team for all the hard work.

Total expenditure 1,117.18€.

Donations received 168.48€.

50 Tons of gravel plus plants and olive trees also 2 rolls of membrane plus sprayers.

Lots of expenditure this month but great progress with lots of perimeter covered and lots of planting and trees everything is looking very nice.

I have been passed the following for distribution by Jackie Galvez:

The agricultural department is organising a conference about red palm wevil (not sure how it’s spelt) to take place at the social/cultural centre Camposol on 30th March at 6pm. There will be someone from the regional agricultural department who speaks English coming. Could you pass this on to the other gardening groups although this is open to anyone who has palm trees in their garden and wants to know how to deal with this potential problem.

I am please to report the fund raising evening at the golf club on the 4th March was a great night out and everyone enjoyed the entertainment and danced the night away.

Thanks to Tom and Ann and Margret and Paul plus everyone that helped and sold the tickets also the Golf Club for there continued support.Avery big thank you to everyone that donated raffle prises.

The entertainment team did a fantastic sum of money and the balance sheet is as follows.

Total income for the evening: 1,099€

Total expenses:231.74€

Total profit: 876.26€.

That is fantastic and a great boost to the general funds all monies will be spent on C- Sector to continue the improvements around the perimeters.
