Theft from car on Sector B

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Details from Sector D message board

I went up to the shops on B Sector at 3.50pm today (Saturday).

When I parked at the Trevi end of the main car park I noticed that the car next to me had had its window smashed.

Property had clearly been taken from inside.

I spoke briefly to the lady owner who said that she had only been there for a few minutes.

Unfortunately nobody apparently saw anything.

Just to warn everybody that these thieves are about.

They are clearly quite bold bearing in mind the time of day and the fact that there were plenty of vehicles and people in the area at the time.

Thank you,

I am pleased to say this morning we had 12 volunteers working on the central reservation, thanks to Adrian and Joe for looking after the team and bacon butties. We had 2 holiday makers come and help and we also had Sue on the bucket and she managed 85€ in 1 hour.

I was at the hospital for an appointment, I think  I should go more often as this was the best turn out for some time.

We need someone on the buckets every day we are out working on the central reservation to make the most of this opportunity.

Please if you can volunteer to come along and help shake the bucket you will be most welcome.

We are making a deference thanks to the volunteers and supporters.

Latest News Release for Greenfingers Sector ‘C’

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

[nggallery id=9]GREENFINGERS GARDENING & SOCIAL CLUB ‘CAMPOSOL SECTOR C’

The Camposol Sector ‘C’ group held a Table Top sale at the square at Sector ‘B’ shops in front of the CRA hut and did a very brisk trade throughout the morning.  All the clothes and bric a brac was donated by the residents of Sector ‘C’ and the volunteers were amazed at how much was there.  The group of volunteers worked in shifts in the heat of the morning and then unfortunately the Police came at 12 noon and asked if we had a licence to sell the goods and even with protests saying it was used goods and for charity they insisted that we pack up and close down in 20 minutes.  The clothes that were left over were donated to Noah’s Arc to help the abandoned and sick animals in the area and the bric a brac was kept for the group to do a sale in one of the resident’s gardens.  We still managed to raise 368€ which is fantastic so thanks to everyone who donated, bought or helped the money will really help boost the funds for the group.

The volunteers have now started working on the sector after their summer break and have already pruned all the trees on the central reservation making it much safer for drivers to see when crossing the reservation and are now removing the base and laying plastic and large gravel. At the bottom of the perimeter road from the corner of C-7 leading up to the Masa house and then both sides of the sides of the road will be cleared very shortly with a JCB ready for membrane, gravel and plants.  The next project after these will be clearing adjacent to the junction going to the roundabout C-4 also down to C-7.

The group is desperately short of volunteers to go out and complete these projects and there were only 5 people out on Monday which is a shame with so much good work having been done for it to fall away now.  There are bacon sandwiches provided for all volunteers so if that is not an incentive I don’t know what is.!!  If you feel you could help or know someone who can please contact Bernard or if you just want to turn up please keep looking at the notice board along the duel carriageway to see where the team are working next.

The group organiser Bernard Holland would like to start a Residents Clean Up Campaign so are asking all Sector ‘C’ residents to take responsibility for clearing their road of weeds including trees and bushes that overhang the pavement.    There is a back pack weed sprayer and weed killer available to use to spray your road, perhaps a few residents in your street could get together and spend a morning using the sprayer.

Sector ’C’ is starting to look really good now but we desperately need more volunteers so please come and help and make your sector the nicest place to be on Camposol.

Another event in October for the club will be a 60’s & 70’s THEME NIGHT with Martin Ross on Friday 22 October at the Golf Club, tickets are only 5€, beer 2 for 1 and reduced price bottles of wine.  60’s & 70’s Dress Optional prize for best dressed male & female  Tickets 5€ & children free also there is a CHRISTMAS PARTY AT TREVI’S on Friday 17 December at 8pm tickets only 15€ includes a prize draw for a Xmas Hamper, Cold Buffet and entertainment with BERNIE MAC everybody is welcome and if you would like tickets or more information please contact Bernard Holland on 626513842, e-mail spainvilarosa@gmail.com or visit the website groups.google.com/group/greenfingersc or the groups new website www.greenfingersgardenandsocialgroup.com.

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

Rough translation from preferente.com – sure he will wiggle out somehow.

Murcia. Jesus 5/10/10.- Semper, owner of Santa Monica Capital Company and owner of the pre-licensing for Paramount park in Murcia, has been charged today in an operation against urban corruption that develops from early in the Civil Guard morning. The allocation of Samper, owner of Real Murcia, is part of the investigation of the Office of Murcia on the Conventions in the northern part of town, where there is no license to build 19,000 homes along the New Condomina stadium and shopping centers. We investigate the crimes of embezzlement of public funds, money laundering, bribery and negotiations with officials prohibited.

The operation was ordered by the Court number 8 of the city, near Semper has been charged seven people, three of them arrested. Those arrested were the head of the municipal management Planning, Alberto Guerra, the lawyer Higinio Perez Mateos and the Italian engineer Renato de Noce. The home of Semper Madrid has been registered as an entity recognized football on its website. The case is under a gag order.

Semper was immersed, along with the regional government in developing the master plan to develop the park Paramount. The U.S. company had warned it would not give the final yes to the project until we know exactly what to do, how to be financed and where to install. The presence of the park aims to make Murcia a tourist and leisure destination of the first magnitude. The allocation of Murcia promoter of questions now covers the future of this initiative.
