Monday the team were on c2 & c3 sweeping spraying and weeding the roads and pavements in what is now very hot weather.
Wednesday there were eight volunteers out being johns 1 & 2 badr pete paddy graham charles and paul . Pot holes were filled around the area with fresh tarmac all the trees and shrubs were well watered and various areas tidied up, john 1 and paddy rattled the buckets collecting 233.20 euros thanks to all who donated and to kath & margaret for breakfasts..
We are in urgent need of more volunteers to help us on a wednesday no hard or heavy work required , this would free up the fitter volunteers to do some of the much needed heavier work ..please meet lower end of c 9.am wednesdays or phone me on 604253604..
We also need to recruit a new person to fill the role of secretary this involves jloining the committee and attending a meeting around 8 times a year taking notes minutes ect again ring 604253604 if your interested..

We have been having some problems logging into this site so from september the blog will appear only on the facebook lower “C” site.
During the last few weeks the bucket collection has held up around the 230 euro region ,all the palms along the dual carriageway have been trimmed back ,pot holes filled with tarmac and donated plants collected and planted , but most of our time has been spent watering just to keep the trees and shrubs alive during this summer heat,
The one thing we are desperate for is more volunteers on a wednesday morning for a couple of hours ,lots of light jobs so please help us to keep lower c looking clean and tidy .So ant help would be most appreciated . also any plants or trees near your villas would always appreciate a drink

Wednesday there were just five volunteers out being johns 1 & 2 badr christine & pete. being so thin on the ground it was really a morning of watering everything in the what is now high heat, christine and john 1 rattled the buckets raising 263.64 euros thanks to all who donated and to kath and suzie for breakfasts this week. The team have also been continuing to trim the palms on the centre of the dual carriageway please give them a wide berth as they carry out this work in a somewhat risky area and slow down a bit.

Wednesday there were eight volunteers out being pete , paul, badr johns 1 & 2 graham christine , & mark . 14 tonnes of gravel was delivered and spread along the perimeter road this will be followed up with the final 14 tonnes to complete this section when manpower permits. This week also saw the start of the annual trim and tidy up of the palms along the dual carriageway . the usual round of watering every thing in the ground and pots took place, john and christine rattled the bucket collecting 257 euros thanks to all who donated and suzie & margaret for breakfasts..

On Monday the Team were on C5 & C6,with Calles, Retama,,Begijar,,Puerto Lumbreras,,Aralia, and the Monsora estate being cleaned and weeded.
Wednesday saw eight volunteers out johns 1 & 2 pete mark ken, graham lorraine sue as usual at this time of year weed spraying and watering are the main tasks, along with tidying up in general ,lorraine and sue did the bucket raising 459 euros this was boosted by a tremendous donation of 100 euros from tom & nina residents of c2 , thanks to all who donated and to cath & margaret for the breakfasts.
Monday he team were on C10 sweeping and cleaning also clearing up and returning items after the street party. The previous friday Ten polygalas donated by a resident were planted along c/ibiscum and gravel spread aroungd there base as a mulch thanks to tom from C2 for making this possible.
Wednesday saw nine volunteers out being johns 1 & 2 pete, badr graham, sue, charles, paddy & mark, 14 tonnes of gravel were delivered and spread along the verge of the pig farm road, at least another 14 tonnes will be needed to complete this project.
All the planters and newly planted plants were well watered ,roses pruned and donated plants planted , heavy rain saw the morning cut short but still 217 euros were raised on the buckets rattled this week by sue and john 1 thanks to all who donated and to suzie & margaret for breakfasts.

Two large pot holes were filled with tarmac on dual carriageway between 10 & 7 and along puerto lumbreros, all the plants and trees were well watered both those in pots and in the ground, roses were pruned geraniums cut back, sue and paddy & john 1 rattled the buckets raising 437.25 euros another fantastic total,
